![]() ![]() In fact, we do meet several other survivors of the People of the Stars throughout the series, who are often mistaken for sorcerers or gods by the inhabitants of Earth thanks to both their wonderful technology and their psychic abilities. However, having consumed all the resources of their new planet, they tried to return to Earth – but crashed in the North Pole, where most of them died, except for a few including Thorgal’s family. They once were the fabled Atlanteans, but decided to leave Earth and used their hyper-advanced technology to colonize another planet. Science-fiction because we quickly learn that the “ship” Thorgal was found in as a baby was a space capsule: he is actually the last descendant of a group of humans known as “The People of the Stars”. ![]() But the actual reason why Thorgal isn’t just some “historical piece” is because it delves into both science-fiction and fantasy. ![]()
